Salary: £15,756 per annum (pro rata) - £8.08 per hour

About the role

We have a number of flexible, permanent, full and part time roles available working between 15 and 37.5 hours per week. 

As a Specialist Support Worker you will support and enable people in all aspects of their life to live the way they choose: to make choices, to express themselves and live as independently as possible. Your patient support and encouragement will assist individuals to run their own lives as much as possible – helping with personal care, supporting someone to rustle up some breakfast, do the weekly shop or visit a local café.

Sense also supports people to take part in some of our amazing arts and wellbeing activities – from dance to music making, swimming to rock climbing.

We also have casual (bank) opportunities in this area attracting an hourly rate of £7.83.

About you 

Experience is not necessarily required for this role as we are able to support you and provide you with an excellent induction.  You must also be willing to work with people whose behaviour may challenge however, full training and ongoing support is provided. It is really important that you are able to demonstrate the right values and behaviours to enable you to make a difference to people’s lives.

Flexibility is needed as working times do vary and will include evenings and weekends; we will however provide you with a rota in advance so you can plan your life accordingly.
