Our client is a tool hire business that is based in south of Leeds. The company has been established a year ago with ambitious plans for expansion in years to come. Their business model has been carefully developed based on strong USP’s (unique selling proposition) that combined with their dedication makes this business to stand out from the crowd.
With this in mind, they’re currently looking to recruit for an Accounts Manager to join the team to take control of inputting and processing financial information onto Xero. This is a part time, flexible role to cover 20 hours per week.
Enthusiastic and dedicated, the successful candidate must maintain consistency of financial inputting and will be responsible for all aspects of profit and loss account, balance sheet and cashflow, control and monitoring.
Your duties will include:
- Bank and cashbook reconciliations
- Preparation and submission of VAT returns
- Balance sheet control accounts – monthly preparation, review, reconciliations and investigations as required.
- Preparation of monthly P&L, balance sheet and cashflows.
- Cashflow forecasting
- Preparation, review and posting of accruals, prepayments and corresponding journals.
- Processing payroll and dealing with monthly/year end reporting to HMRC including PAYE, P11d’s etc.
- Processing monthly staff pension and payment of staff/company contributions
- Assist in preparation of financial budgets, forecasts as required.
- Fixed asset accounting and depreciation
- Accounting for Hire Purchase transactions
- Sales and purchase ledger
- Credit control
- Admin
The successful candidate should have experience in a similar role and a good knowledge of management accounts preparation and systems; they use Xero in house (they operate fully integrated systems; InspHire Inventory System and Xero Financial system that links to Receipt Bank and invoice discounting account.) You will have good communication skills, and the drive to learn and progress within the company.
