We are looking for someone who can join this busy Purchasing Department as an Expeditor, the role is newly created and can be full time or permanent part-time for the duration of the assignment which will be 3-6 months. The role is available immediately and the client needs a candidate who has worked in a similar role within a manufacturing environment. This is NOT a permanent role but you will be hired directly by the client for the duration.
Core duties include:
* Monitor stock levels and identify purchasing needs
* Track orders and ensure timely delivery
* Update internal databases with order details (dates, vendors, quantities, discounts)
* Follow up with suppliers, as needed, to confirm or change orders
* Liaise with warehouse staff to ensure all products arrive in good condition.
Expeditor Skills and Qualifications
Solid mathematical skills; confident computer skills; understanding of the goods being procured; some experience in a business or delivery setting; excellent communication skills, both written and verbal; good interpersonal skills for working with various departments as well as vendor representatives; excellent planning skills, organisational skills and attention to detail; problem-solving skills.
Additional Duties
* Upload datsheets onto the management system
* Some data cleansing
This role would suit an extremely organised, self-motivated ex-manufacturing supply chain, purchasing or production administrator who is used to working in a fast paced manufacturing environment providing timely, accurate data for the business. Part-Time hours can be reasonably flexible but someone must be available to work in the business every day
