Principal Lab Technician

Contract Type: 12 Month agency temp

Salary: Circa £25,000

Job Elements: -

·Perform relevant hands-on work activities as part of the general support function of the Product Technical Support department, using multiple analytical instruments.

·Provide preliminary analysis of data under direction.

·Demonstrates knowledge and application of the DMAIC problem solving process.

·Develops understanding of the principles of immunoassay and of the various functions within Products Support

·Ensure that the Product Technical Support laboratory is compliant with relevant quality and safety systems.

·Performs laboratory housekeeping and 5S activities, including calibration of equipment.

·Ensures that all activities are carried out in compliance with all regulations and laws governing business and quality operations (QSR/GMP, ISO, etc.).

The individual:

·Minimum of a Level or equivalent qualification in a scientific discipline, ideally degree level education

·Minimum of 2 years’ experience working in a laboratory

·Computer literacy

·Working knowledge of GAPS

·Good laboratory practical skills,

·Ability to record experimental work accurately, perform the relevant data analysis and initial experimental conclusions
