We are in partnership with a global design and build consortium of contractors responsible for the construction of 5 shafts being sunk to a depth of 1350 meters below ground, the package is valued at GBP900m and has never been attempted before in the UK. A unique once in a lifetime project due to be delivered and fully operational by 2022.
We are keen to speak to Site Agents with tunnelling and below ground construction experience on major infrastructure projects

Responsibilities / Duties include:
• Ensure the commercial performance of the contract is maximised
• Assume overall responsibility for the successful delivery of projects
• Deliver the work safely and without environmental incidents
• Deliver the work to the specified quality without defects
• Ensure production and implementation of Project Plans, RAMS, ITP's and waste management plans, in line with Company procedures
• Produce and manage the project programme and produce 2 weeks look ahead
• Produce procurement schedules and liaise with the procurement department to ensure sites have ade-quate resources to complete the tasks
• Undertake an ambassadorial role representing the business to customers, public and official bodies
• Deliver end product to customer satisfaction
• Populate and manage the company cost plan for the project
• Maximise project value
• Ensure detailed site diaries/records are completed
• Maintain commercial tension to drive out cost and challenge the status quo
• Endeavour to spot and highlight value engineering opportunities
• Produce good quality, accurate monthly reports for the Client and internally
• Chair weekly site meetings in line with Company procedures
Qualifications / Experience:
• Considerable experience in Civil Engineering
• Working knowledge of NEC contract conditions, CDM regulations,
• Good knowledge of specifications and testing regime relevant to general civil engineering
• Degree/HNC in Civil Engineering, or equivalent
• CSCS managers card
• IOSH Managing Safely or SMSTS
• Excellent communication, people and team management skills
• Ability to challenge designs and resolve problems to conclusion
