Central Wigan
An exciting opportunity has arisen for 2 Full Time Job Coaches to join Making Space, a not-for-profit care provider based in Wigan on a Fixed Term Contract until May 2020. In return we offer a competitive salary of GBP9.46 per hour.
Making Space provide services in the heart of local communities, in the comfort of people's own homes, and specialist care and support services. Our professional, caring employees and volunteers deliver our services with dignity, respect and compassion, focusing on outcomes that help the people we support has the freedom to enjoy an everyday life.
We require Job Coaches to help deliver the vision of the Ambition for Ageing programme by working with local employers, referring agencies, other professionals and partner organisations, to identify people aged 50+ who are carers and who want to find employment.
You will develop and manage a caseload, supporting and coaching these carers to find a suitable employment role and employment pathways. You will work to overcome perceived barriers to carers aged 50+ gaining employment. You will collect and record the data on these barriers in order to help shape learning and good practice around 'what works' in supporting carers into employment.
The successful candidate must have an NVQ II (or equivalent) in Health and Social Care or willingness to work towards. Have experience and knowledge of the needs of carers and people over 50 years old.
Working hours are 39 hours per week to work flexibly 5 out of 7 days and bank holidays when required.
Own method of transport is preferred.
