A vacancy has arisen within the Product Development department for a Product Development Technician (Joiner) based at Head Office Barnsley, to work alongside the current team manufacturing prototypes for new product developments.
Key responsibilities of the role include:
• Prototyping new designs for all current and proposed products to enhance the Company's products with the market.
• Prototyping and evaluating all technical specifications of the Company's products, to maintain and improve the brand image.
• Trialling and prototyping of all new products for all current and potential new markets.
• Supporting the product development team in the new product development process.
• Taking ownership whilst working within the team to implement new products to the market.
• Ensuring all new product introductions are made commercially.
• Amending and recommending alterations to designs, specifications and samples to ensure products are fit for purpose and meet set standards.
You must be:
• A qualified Joiner or experienced Machine Operator.
• Able to communicate confidently with people at all levels, in a friendly manner.
• Able to work under pressure and maintain deadlines.
• Self-motivated and willing to work as part of a team.
• Computer literate.
• Able to problem solve and make recommendations.
You must have:
• A keen eye for detail.
• Excellent time keeping and time management skills.
• A full driving licence.
You will also ideally have:
• Knowledge of the industry, range of manufactured and bought out products.
• Experience of working with designs, specification, and technical drawing.
• Excellent woodworking and technical skills.
