Our Managed Services team are based from our offices in St Ives and our data centre facilities in Huntingdon and provide a focused range of hosted and cloud services through our extensive portfolio, specifically designed to help customers align their IT functions to their core business requirements.

The Devops Systems Analyst Opportunity:

We are currently recruiting for a Devops Systems Analyst to join our busy team based from our office in St Ives (Cambridgeshire). You will be responsible for the development and support of bespoke internal software, scripting, report writing, product evaluation, and general systems administration for the related development systems. This is a varied role and the ideal candidate will have a mixture of technical and problem solving skills, and experience across areas such as software development, systems integration, and systems administration.

DevOps Systems Analyst Key Responsibilities:

+ Develop and support internal software applications
+ Write scripts to perform various systems integration, data collection, and data processing tasks
+ Develop reports to help automate business processes and provide management information
+ Support and maintain development systems
+ Perform analysis of commercial software products to understand capabilities and potential for integration with existing products
+ Capture and document requirements for new tasks/projects

Required Skills and Experience:

Essential

+ Excellent problem solving skills with a structured and methodical approach to solving complex issues
+ Ability to comprehend technical concepts and learn new products and technologies from written manuals/documentation
+ A broad understanding of IT systems and the various components that typically make up an enterprise grade infrastructure
+ Hands on skills across a variety of products and operating systems
+ Ability and willingness to write technical documentation
+ A positive can-do attitude, willingness to take on new challenges and develop new skills and expertise

Desirable

+ Experience writing code/scripts in Python (and Java would be beneficial)
+ Web development experience – Django, javascript, CSS
+ Relational databases and SQL
+ Linux / Windows systems Administration
+ Vmware
+ Software version control
+ Experience working with APIs

Location: Based from our offices in St Ives, Cambridgeshire.
Hours: Monday to Friday, 7.5 hours per day (37.5 hours per week)
Salary: £30,000 to £45,000 (Depending on experience & skills) 

Start Date: ASAP
