European Road Freight Load Planner
Location: Lichfield
Hours: Full time, 37.5 hours per week, 9:00 - 17:30 Monday to Friday
About the position:
The purpose of the ERF Load Planner is to provide guidance and support to the ERF Import/Export & Network Operators in relation to effective route planning.
Their primary role is to ensure all freight is effectively planned to maximise profit, minimise costs, and achieve KPI levels.
Key Tasks and Responsibilities will include:
To plan effectively all relevant export departures including part, full or consolidated loads.
To plan all departures in the most cost-effective manner.
To be responsible for the optimization, consistency and departmental effectiveness including review and generation of SOP's.
To be responsible to market productivity reviews and solutions
To be responsible for the preparation, analysis, maintenance and development of hauliers, cost and synergies.
To maintain and develop current business levels and initiate re-quote, as necessary, in conjunction with Product Support and Sales.
Supporting the Sales Community with the provision of Spot-Quotes and assisting to complete any RFQ received
Communicating with all stake holders to gain proactive transit updates; ensuring all shipments are tracked to completion.
To ensure that data quality is accurate and demonstrate profit maximisation against all consignments
To ensure that all tours are kept up to date in line with departmental procedures.
The ideal candidate will have knowledge and experience of working in a road freight environment, along with working knowledge and experience of working with European hauliers. They will have a good knowledge of geographical areas within the UK/Europe. Experience of working within a customer facing environment would be an advantage
