Housingrecruit.com is advertising for a Repairs Team Coordinator on behalf of our client a leading social housing provider based in Salford.

They are currently looking for a new Technical Manager to join their growing team based out of Salford, Greater Manchester. This role is looking for a manager with technical skills, who will be able to provide technical advice and undertake pre/post inspections as well as manage a team of tradesmen who will be doing the day to day repairs & maintenance on properties.

The successful candidate will:

1. Be responsible for the organisation, motivation and supervision of a team of both technicians and sub-contractors
2. To ensure that all works are carried out to a high-quality standard in accordance with all health & safety legislation and within prescribed targeted timescales
3. Monitor and appraise the performance of both staff & sub-contracts they directly manage
4. Promote and embed the provision of a customer-focused efficient and cost-effective service
5. The works will primarily revolve around in-house investment programme works or repairs & maintenance on existing properties.

In order to fulfil this role we will require you to have the following knowledge, skills & experience:
 

1. Experience with leading a team
2. Experience of managing this team to ensure business targets are met
3. Experience of dealing with issues of poor performance within your team
4. An advanced craft / NVQ level 3 or equivalent certification within a building or housing related subject

Due to the nature of the role, a full driving license with access to your own vehicle for work insured for business use is required.
