Location: Benfleet, Essex

Salary: £17,681 to £19,446 per annum

Job Type: FTC Maternity Cover to April 2019 - 37 hours per week

The Council are looking to recruit a full time Finance Officer to provide maternity cover within their busy Revenues Service. As part of their ongoing Transformation Programme, this post will be responsible for undertaking a wide range of control functions including maintaining account balances, processing instruments of payment, resolving payment queries, administering Direct Debits, and assisting with reconciling payment systems.

Applicants will ideally be able to demonstrate;

• Experience of undertaking a wide range of financial control functions, including those relating to payments and Direct Debits
• Ability to work methodically, accurately, and with attention to detail
• Excellent IT skills, including general software packages (including Excel), Financial, and Payment systems.
• Ability to multi-task and work to tight timescales
• Able to work both individually and as part of a team
