The Company:
The Company, located in 80 acres of idyllic setting of Pembrokeshire, West Wales, has an exciting opportunity for an individual to join its team as a Senior Maintenance Technician with a bias towards EC&I.
The Role:
Reporting to the Head of Engineering and Estates you will work as a Senior Maintenance Technician. This is a newly created and key role that is hands on and is responsible for the need to understand, resolve and share in the resolution of faults, whilst aiding in the development of the current technician/engineering team.
During the season you will work operationally carrying out planned preventative maintenance, unplanned maintenance, ride start up procedures and safety checks. During off peak and winter periods assist in the annual inspection of all rides and attractions ensuring compliance with Amusement Device Inspection Procedure Scheme (ADIPS).
This is a varied role requiring swift and comprehensive fault finding and rectification skills on EC&I equipment. You will liaise with ride manufacturers and suppliers for repair advice, replacement parts and updates.
The role is permanent, averaging 40 hours per week and will include weekends, bank holidays as required and some late nights during July/August. A full driving license is essential.
About You:
The machines (rides) that shall be typically worked upon each have an element of Electronic Control, therefore this role will suit somebody who has a background within EC&I - Variable speed drives; motor control; PLC etc and is able to demonstrate their Electronic Control experience effectively. They are ideally looking for somebody who holds an EC&I qualification.
As a minimum you will have an Electrical Level 3 NVQ Diploma, or City and Guilds 2391 or 2394/5. In addition to Level 3 NVQ you will have 17th Edition BS7671.
The role requires you to work at heights on a regular basis and therefore you must confident in doing so. Full training will be given.
This is a hands-on role and therefore applicants must be in good physical health as the role will include physical activity on a regular basis such as lifting, carrying and general maintenance/manual work.
This role is not suitable for domestic or light commercial technicians/engineers.
