Medical Tax Accountant. Our client is a successful East Midlands firm of Chartered Accountants. Due to growth it is seeking to recruit a person who has experience of working in tax in Public Practice. Hours Full or Part Time.
Salary: circa £25,000 to £30,000 plus benefits dependant on experience

This firm acts for a significant number of GP Practices in the region, and offers expert advice on accounts, personal tax and pensions, together with bespoke bookkeeping, cost control, VAT and management accounts services.
Due to the continuing success of the department and the company's focus on increasing its market share in this sector, it is now looking for a bright, enthusiastic, experienced tax specialist with some accounting experience, who is ready for his or her next exciting career move.
The right candidate will possess:
oExcellent understanding of personal and partnership tax for GP's
oHave a good understanding of NHS Pension Scheme (inc Annual Allowances, Charges and Life Time allowances)
oUnderstand the IR35 regime applicable to Public Sector
oSome corporation tax knowledge would be an advantage
oHave some experience in preparation of Partnership accounts for GP Practices
oBe computer literate (particularly Microsoft Office), and be able to adapt to using new software quickly and easily (Sage, IRIS, etc.)
oHave excellent attention to detail and thrive on exceeding client expectations.
oHave excellent verbal and written communication skills, together with the confidence to network and help to develop the business.
This role is distinctly seasonal and will be predominantly tax focussed throughout September to February, reviewing GP and partnership tax returns, preparing and submitting pension certificates and identifying personal tax planning opportunities.
Throughout the March to August period, the role will become more focussed on GP partnership accounts preparation, for which support and training will be provided.
The successful candidate will have the opportunity to get involved in the development of the medical department, through planning and delivery of training for GP clients and Practice Managers, on tax related matters.
o Candidates will ideally already be working in taxation in Public Practice.
o Hours full or part time.
