Location: Witham, Essex
Salary: Up to £17,000 + Benefits

The Company:
Our client has over 70 years' experience supplying melamine catering supplies wholesale to the food industry sector.

They now have a fantastic opportunity for a Warehouse Operative / Driver to join them.

The Warehouse Operative / Driver Role:
If you enjoy physical work, driving and want to be part of a team, this could be perfect for you.

They are looking for an experienced Warehouse Operative, who from time to time will be required to carry out some driving duties.

The driving element requires you to pick up and drop off staff and customers. Additionally, they often exhibit at Trade Shows and your role would be to load the vehicles and drive to the location.

You must have a flexible approach as some driving may be required out of usual hours. The warehouse has 2 shift patterns in operation (no nights).

Key Responsibilities of the Warehouse Operative / Driver:

• Taking delivery of goods and supplies
• Checking for damaged or missing items
• Storing goods
• Moving stock around by hand, using lifting gear or a forklift truck
• Loading and unloading containers
• Picking and packing orders
• Keeping paperwork up to date
• Cleaning work areas

Skills & Experience Required:

• Previous experience of working in a warehouse
• A good level of fitness
• Basic computer skills
• An understanding of health and safety regulations
• Honesty and reliability
• A forklift or counter balance licence
• A clean driving licence
• Reliable, motivated, and a can do attitude
