One of Worcester`s most loved and well known Country House Hotels is currently recruiting for a Sous Chef to join their award winning team, providing much needed support to the Head Chef and running the kitchen in his absence.
This is a unique and rare opportunity to contribute to a highly successful and busy kitchen environment on a full time, permanent basis.
The ideal candidate will come from a similar role in a hotel environment and it is essential you are passionate, possess a strong work ethic, are a great communicator and have a high diligence for all Food Safety and Health and Safety compliances.
You must be must be hardworking, committed and have the ability to stay calm under pressure. Be confident working in a team as well as leading one, as you will be running the kitchen in the absence of the Head Chef - who has been with the hotel many years and is eager to develop and progress whomever steps into this role to ensure career progression.
This particular hotel has a fantastic reputation throughout Worcestershire and is one of the most sought after locations for weddings, events and dining due to the outstanding location and fantastic staff - so you will be joining and contributing to a hugely successful business.
As well as all of the above, you will manage food purchasing and storage and ensure that you have adequate stock for special events and busy periods, contribute to menu ideas and support and drive the quality and consistency of the food throughout the hotel.
The working hours are 40-50 hours a week over 5 days, which can include split shifts. You will be offered a very competitive salary of up to £24,000 p/a including meals on duty.
