Housing Officer - Job Share (15 hours per week)

Have you had experience of managing tenancies or working in lettings management previously or are you looking for the next step in your Housing Officer career? An excellent opportunity has arisen for an exceptional part-time Housing Officer to join our regional housing team in Chesham, which manages over 2,200 properties across Buckinghamshire and the surrounding areas. The properties we manage are a diverse tenure mix including traditional general needs housing, specialist learning difficulties and extra care schemes as well as shared ownership.

You will be the key point of contact in your nominated patch and you will be expected to deliver a high quality customer focused service including assisting customers with issues around tenancy sustainment and management, responding to and working on maintaining the quality of the estates on your patch. You will need to demonstrate that you are comfortable working with tenants, local authorities, partner agencies, and all other teams within the organisation to achieve joint goals. Your ability to develop relationships with all customers and stakeholders will be the key to your success in the team. You should be customer focused, sensitive and able to plan your time and a busy workload effectively. Experience of housing management is not essential but a positive attitude and customer focused approach is essential.

You will be working as part of a job share, so good communication skills are essential. You must have continual access to a car and possess a full current driving licence in order to carry out home visits. The role is a two day a week role, based in our offices in Chesham, Buckinghamshire with easy access to Chesham Metropolitan line tube station.
