Operator

Major Recruitment our currently seeking experienced Operators to work in the Engineering department for our client based in Wakefield.
Our client specialises in the storage and distribution of fozen goods.

You will be required to wok in a freezer environment of up to -23 degrees
If successful at interview, you will be provided with the appropriate PPE to enable you to work in the freezer.

You must have the following skills to be considered for this role;

• Must be computer literate
• RTITB Counterbalance licence preferred
• Able to work under pressure
• Able to work at heights up to 42 metres
• Able to tolerate extreme temperatures up to minus 23 degrees
• Dedicated, flexible and reliable

Job Description

• Reporting to the Head of Engineering, Operators monitor and maintain the smooth running of our automated cold store facility. Each aspect of our automation is monitored via computer and Operators react to any faults identified on the system, either via computer or by physically attending the site to rectify any faults. It is imperative that candidates can apply logical thinking to complex problems to provide viable solutions.

The work can be physically and mentally demanding and involves long hours in extreme conditions within the cold store. The ability to work at height is a pre-requisite of the role.

All Operators receive professional height & rescue training to the highest international standards.
