We are currently recruiting for a full time Hostel Support Worker to work within a Women's hostel in Bedford.
The hostel is staffed 24hrs a day with a minimum of 2 staff on duty at any one time and access to a manager around the clock. A majority of the female residents subside at the hostel as part of their resettlement whilst on licence however some of the female residents are on community sentences where their circumstances have been established to which they may need some more enhanced supervision and support. Many of the female residents have victim issues and can be deeply traumatised.
You will need to be mindful of risk of self harm and also risk to others. There are procedures in place to support staffs safety at all times. The residents are always treated respectfully and staff will be required to work closely with the female residents to assist their resettlement.
