Major Structures Group Manager (Facilities)

FINTEC recruit is seeking a Civils Structures Group Manager (Facilities). This is a permanent position based in Plymouth. Working as part of an Engineering Facilities design team, you will be a professional engineer with experience from Civil/Marine Design, Structural, Marine or Nuclear sectors. This is working on the submarine base. You will have significant experience in civil structures, structural design, seismic analysis and degradation of marine and civil structures. Responsibilities:

• You will possess and apply technical skills to complex tasks, have significant experience in civil structures, structural design, seismic analysis and degradation of marine and civil structures.

• An excellent communicator, working in partnership across the organisation and with external stakeholders and nuclear regulatory office.

• An experienced leader, providing a clear vision, support and guidance. You will have experience in managing teams, developing the capability of the individuals within that team, and experience in managing the outputs of a team with budget controls.

• Provide a design and safety assessment function in support of facilities

Skills and Qualifications:

• Relevant engineering degree

• Recognised professional status (CEng minimum),

• Significant experience in relevant engineering discipline.

• Previous management of preparing and managing budgets.

• Sound understanding of company and departmental procedures relating to health and safety, design and quality.

You will be required to go through security clearance vetting.
