Penylan House is a part of Linc Care and operates in the not-for-profit sector. The purpose-built facility has 75 single, en-suite bedrooms with well furnished rooms, landscaped gardens and car parking. The whole building exceeds CIW requirements with big bedrooms, wide corridors, spacious lounges and a high staff to resident ratio.

 

 

 

 

 

In addition to the basic salary, we offer 34 days’ annual leave (including bank holidays), up to 6 months’ full sick pay, enhanced maternity pay, generous pension and a BUPA health assessment.

 

 

 

 

 

What skills do I need to have?

 

 

 

We are seeking a highly experienced and enthusiastic Registered Nurse (RGN/RMN), who can demonstrate strong clinical, leadership and management skills. You will be a clinical expert in elderly nursing, possessing a QCF Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health and Social Care or equivalent (NVQ Level 4 in Management in Care) and a passion for undertaking and promoting continuous professional development. You will have sound leadership and management experience in a nursing setting and a proven track record in motivating your team to deliver high standards of person centered care. Taking a positive coaching and mentoring approach to your team will be key and you must be able to demonstrate exceptional communication skills to ensure Linc’s expectations are understood and acted upon, as well as being able to receive regular updates from staff throughout the day.

 

 

 

 

 

A head for business management is vital and in addition to quality of care and support, you will be accountable for the financial aspects, people management, and the reputation of the home. You will be expected to lead by example at all times, ensuring that the home remains compliant with all current legislation, and be able communicate sensitive information to residents and their relatives with empathy and reassurance.
