Quantity surveyor

Experienced and degree qualified Quantity surveyor ideally with a couple of year's experience in the construction of municipal or educational buildings

Duties include (but not limited to)

Tender analysis

Final account negotiation with subcontractors

Processing interim and monthly valuations

Assisting with the preparation and issue of sub-contract orders

Monitoring subcontract work, checking claims and issuing payment authorisation

Producing full material take offs for associated construction works

Assisting in the preparation of monthly forecasts and cash flows reports

Site measurement

Advising on costs, accepting quotations and issuing development instructions

Assisting in the preparation of site budgets

Production of subcontractor tender list, including vetting of subcontractors to assess their suitability.

Ability to analyse and effectively deal with monetary disputes.

The ideal candidate will be a confident and persuasive negotiator with excellent communication skills
