Senior Architectural Technician required for a growing top 10 UK housebuilder to be based from their regional base in Leeds.
Our client have a national presence combined with local knowledge and expertise in all aspects of housing - from finance, design and planning, to developing and building, they design and build quality homes and create places that people want to live.
They now require the expertise of a Senior Level Architectural Technician, this purpose of the post is to control and co-ordinate all architectural information between external consultants and internal departments.
In addition you will be responsible for managing the design and Build process from start to finish and ensure all approvals are obtained and correct information received and issued to allow for a programmed start on site.
Key Responsibilities:
??To work with the Land Department to ensure smooth transition of all architectural information takes place.
??To check all architectural drawings and details for accuracy, correctness and commercial suitability.
??To liaise with external consultants to ensure deadlines are met.
??To apply for and secure planning permission for all architectural design and relevant regulation approval.
??To attend site visits and meetings in order to solve any problems that arises during the
??construction process.
??To attend design meetings with planning departments to ascertain requirements from a council
??perspective for new developments.
??Ensure that new regulation requirements are anticipated and incorporated as required.
Working drawings, Building Regulations and Code for Sustainable Homes (CFSH)
??Procure complete working drawing packages for each development from consultants and check prior to issue, using core house types where possible.
??Complete, approve and formalize the Building Regulation and CFSH applications.
??Monitor progress of the Building Regulation and CFSH applications and obtain approval.
??Provide ongoing support for site at construction stage with any working drawing related queries.
Architectural / Technical Design
??Assist the Technical Director to obtain fee quotations from specialist consultants for all architectural design requirements.
??Provide architectural and technical support to the site teams.
??Assist the Commercial team in cost plan completion with regard to architectural matters.
??Take full responsibility for the day to day running of the architectural and planning section within the Technical Department.
Salary & Benefits Package
??Competitive rates of pay GBP35,000 - GBP40,000 per annum
