Mach Recruitment have partnered yet again with one of our long-term engineering clients based in Skelmersdale, due to further growth the precision engineering company are looking to recruit a Quality Engineer to work a day shift.
This is a real chance to apply all your skills and knowledge to enhance the Quality function within an established & growing international automotive supplier.
Personal profile:
Minimum HNC/HND qualified engineers or time served professional with a minimum of five years experience in a similar Quality Engineer role within an automotive company.
Role and responsibilities:
You will be part of an existing, highly experienced fast-moving department on an international scale. The successful applicant will be required to work as a key team player, with direction and motivation being given to achieve internal & external quality expectations to automotive standards.
Maintaining, improving and promotion of excellent customer relations along with improvements in the departmental KPI's for this role.
You must be a committed, hands on individual who will not be diverted from your goals and have experience in resolving issues in a fast paced, high volume manufacturing environment working to Positive drive, enthusiasm and passion for improvement will be essential to your success.

Job Requirements:
• Full understanding of IATF (TS) 16949 / ISO 9001 requirements.
• Manage Key Customer concerns: Structured Problem solving, working closely with Process Engineers with regard to 8D ownership from start to speedy resolution, protecting the customer at all times.
• Investigate and implement corrective action for Daily Internal Quality Concerns
• Full understanding of FMEA, APQP, PPAP, Control Plans & Quality Standards to AIAG guidelines & IATF (TS) requirements.
• Performing & reporting MSA studies.
• Customer / Supplier liaison.
• Good knowledge and experience of using (programming) precision measurement equipment (manual & computer controlled)
• Auditing to TS / IATF - Systems, Process, Product, Supplier (VDA 6.3 audit experience would be an advantage)
• Computer Literate - Excel & Word
• Supporting continuous improvement projects
• Production support at all times.
Desirable Requirements:
• Six sigma methodology
• Use of Minitab software
