The Role:

An opportunity has arisen to join the Company's Marketing team as an MI Manager. As MI Manager you will be responsible for immediate, accurate and actionable Business Intelligence by way of reporting, dashboards, trend graphs, segment profiling and much more, enabling stakeholders to quickly draw business performance conclusions.

  • To provide consultancy to stakeholders to interpret Business Intelligence, in order to enable them to develop their own plans and strategies.
  • To develop and implement plans for improving Business Intelligence.

o This will include managing the migration of current processes into a new environment which leverages new reporting capabilities.

  • To work alongside senior managers from other business areas to ensure consistency and trust in information delivered.

o This will include agreement and standardisation of KPIs and metrics.

o This will also include adoption of a wider best practice implementation.

  • To advocate, initiate and lead improvements to data sources in order to increase the business' capacity to understand performance in multiple dimensions.

o No more silo information which becomes unusable.

o All data integration to be designed and structured appropriately from the onset.

  • To work with the Data Protection Manager (or other...) to ensure data quality and governance practices are embraced and enforced.
  • To act as a conduit between IT and Marketing to ensure Marketing have a voice in all relevant business improvement projects.
  • To work with IT/Data Agency (DBAs) to ensure database performance is optimised through tuning and continuous improvement of process.
  • To manage and develop a team of highly-skilled business intelligence analysts who themselves can be trusted to manage senior stakeholder expectations.

The Candidate:

  • Minimum of 3 years database marketing experience
  • SQL essential
  • SAS/Modelling Tools advantageous
  • Digital analytics (GA/Web tools advantageous)
  • Marketing / Business / Maths / Statistics or related Degree (2:1 or above preferred).
  • Ideally a retail marketing background
  • Experienced in Microsoft Excel.
  • In-depth knowledge of Databases.
