LOCATION: Hailsham, East Sussex
JOB TITLE: Trainee Accountant

SALARY & BENEFITS: Salary will be dependent upon qualifications and experience.
WORKING HOURS: Mon - Fri 8.30am-5pm
THE COMPANY: Our client has been an established registered accountancy practice for over 60 years in Hailsham and provides a broad range of business accountancy and audit services to over 2,900 clients. The firm has grown over recent years and its ambitious expansion plans have been largely achieved with the Practice now having 9 highly respected Directors and over 50 staff all operating from 2 offices in defined areas of expertise. A vacancy for a Trainee Accountant has now arisen in our client's busy accountancy practice.
THE ROLE: An excellent opportunity has arisen for an ACCA Trainee Accountant based in Hailsham. No previous experience is necessary and a full study package is available. The Trainee Accountant will progress through the ACCA qualification whilst learning the basics of the preparation of client's accounts.
Key Responsibilities of a Trainee Accountant to include:-
• Learning the basics of the accountancy processes/procedures, including the preparation of income and expenditure accounts and sole trader accounts.
• Preparing bank reconciliations as part of working on clients' year end accounts.
• Working with different accounting software such as Sage.
THE CANDIDATE: The successful Trainee Accountant will be an enthusiastic individual who will be willing to learn and show the commitment to progress through the ACCA qualification whilst learning the basics of accountancy. You may be fresh out of your A levels, or degree and or even started at another Accountancy practice; if you have the will to learn and succeed then Watsons Associates want to speak with you.
Key experience essential for the Trainee Accountant role based in Hailsham:
• Must have 2 good A-Levels ideally in Maths, English or Business Studies but will consider other subjects.
• Someone who is enthusiastic and is willing to learn.
• A general all round interest in accountancy and prepared to commit to progressing through the ACCA qualification.
