Production Manager

Contract Type: Permanent

Salary: Circa £48,000 plus car allowance

Job Elements / The ideal candidate will have: -

·Provide strong leadership and direction, initiating plans and processes which minimise manufacturing costs through effective utilisation of manpower, equipment, facilities, materials and capital.

·Develop and execute specific strategic innovation and improvement plans. The ability to formulate new concepts, develop schemes and deliver is crucial to this role

·Ensuring attainment of business objectives and production schedules whilst ensuring product standards that meet our customer’s expectations.

·Foster a positive, proactive team working culture through effective communication, delegation and people management. Harnessing employee involvement in order to capitalise on the collective knowledge and skills of the teams and drive continuous improvement.

·Manage expenditure against budget and in relation to changing seasonal demands/ volume requirements.

·Communicate the company’s policies and service level agreements in respect of Health & Safety, Housekeeping, Disciplinary and Grievance procedures, etc. Work with the support functions to ensure the company meets all its statutory and contractual duties

·To maintain robust and effective systems for ensuring extremely high standards of housekeeping.

Key Skills and Attributes: -

·Experience at a Senior Management level in a Manufacturing environment

·Proven Change Management experience.

·Strong Business/ commercial acumen.

·Analytical, data driven business manager.

·Driven and ambitious achiever.

·Confident, professional and a hands-on approach.

·Experience of driving KPI’s and performance

·Excellent Communication Skills – the ability to communicate at all levels and the capability to contribute at a senior strategic level.
