Branch Development Organiser - Scotland
Salary: £35,949 p.
Location: Glasgow
From our Glasgow office, you will work alongside other staff and lay members to support the effective implementation of national organising and recruitment priorities in designated institutions in Scotland. This will include building strong membership organisation; developing participation in the union and strengthening the collective capacity of branches to protect and deliver advances for members.
You will need experience in campaigning and organising in a trade union or similar environment and in organising and delivering training. With a knowledge and understanding of current issues and political trends, particularly in post 16 education, you will be an effective oral/written communicator.
The post will require you to travel within Scotland.
