Our public sector client is based in Grimsby and offers an exciting opportunity for you to work within a varied and interesting environment as a Court Usher.
As a court usher you will be required to prepare the courts for sitting and ensure smooth running of the courts and provide general admin support.
This is a temporary full time role working Monday to Friday 37 hours per week and the assignment is expected to run for a minimum of 3 months and could be extended further depending on work load.
Duties may include but not be limited to
* Setting up the court, ensuring water bottles are full, ensuring clean glasses are available, ensuring adequate stationary supplies
* You may be required to liaise with defendants, victims, witnesses and court officials
* You will be responsible for obtaining the names of all parties and completing the paperwork with these details
* Swearing in of witnesses as appropriate
* General Admin duties, photocopying, filing, post duties

To be considered for this position you will need the following essential skills
* Excellent communication skills
* Tactful and polite manner and ability to deal with difficult court users
* Good organisational skills
* Ability to understand and pass on important information promptly and clearly
* Good IT Skills and working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
* Excellent telephone manner
