Chief Executive Officer - We are delighted to be working in partnership with The Calvert Trust on the appointment of a Chief Executive Officer. The Calvert Trust is an amazing organisation that enables people with physical, learning, behavioural and sensory disabilities to experience exciting, challenging and enjoyable outdoor activities. This role is based at the Centre in North Devon, on the edge of beautiful Exmoor National Park. The successful CEO will develop and implement a strategic plan which incorporates maximising the use of current assets and a thorough review of a product diversification policy as well providing a safe, efficient and financially sound operation.
CEO key responsibilities include:
To bring leadership and management to the Trust, the senior management team, staff and volunteers
To ensure compliance with all central and local government legislation
To ensure financial sustainability by developing and monitoring strategies for ensuring the long-term viability of the Trust
To deliver against agreed performance indicators, targets, policies and vision
To be responsible for maintaining/improving the Trust's external reputation for excellence and service
To be the primary public face of the Trust
Chief Executive Officer (CEO) requirements include...
The successful CEO will be able to demonstrate:
Considerable general management and leadership experience.
Excellent people management skills including the ability to recruit and develop staff; to be a role model for staff, previous experience of dealing with HR issues in all sectors
A strong commercial background with success delivering growth strategies within organisations
Proven financial management experience
Excellent communication skills, both written and oral (including public speaking)
Previous experience in hotel, leisure or tourism management would be beneficial
Driving licence is desirable.
