What are we looking for? 

We are looking for a skilled practitioner and qualified teacher to deliver functional skills in Maths & English, and support the employability programmes within our Adult Education Budget (AEB) contract. The Vocational Coach will deliver outstanding teaching, learning and assessment across a range of accredited courses with the objective of preparing learners for sustainable employment.

You will provide support to Managers on resource development and innovation across the Functional Skills curriculum area ensuring learners are engaged, inspired and challenged within their learning.

You will be responsible for working closely with learners to plan, develop and implement their Individual Learning Plan (ILP) from Initial enrolment to the completion of their learning aims and beyond via giving exceptional Information, Advice and Guidance at all times.

 

Furthermore, you will be able to demonstrate that you are able to not only deliver bespoke training focused towards a particular employer, but also that you are able to embed maths, English and ICT as well as British Values throughout all your teaching sessions

For this role you will need to have knowledge and experience of delivering Functional Skills, working with funding and awarding bodies as well as being highly organised, efficient and have desire and aspiration for delivering outstanding teaching and learning.

Job Specification Requirements
The successful candidate will:

  • Hold a Teaching Qualification  - PGCE, Cert ED, DTTLS or Equivalent
  • Have Level 2 or equivalent in Functional Skills English and maths & ICT
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to be able to engage with clients and deliver an outstanding learning experience
  • Full driving license/vehicle owner and willingness to travel across the East Midlands Region and beyond
