I have an excellent opportunity available for an experienced Operations Manager to join my client's vibrant, very busy growing firm in Dunfermline.
Main Operational Responsibilities:
• Managing the firm's Corporate Services department, to ensure the production of accurate accounts within agreed timescales and on budget
• Driving the client journey through continuous improvement methodology
• Managing the workflow and resource capacity
• Managing risk and compliance to ensure internal financial processes are consistently followed
• Ensuring team achieve productivity targets
• Managing delivery budgets to minimise under recoveries and reporting monthly to Head of Operations on significant variances
• Involved in projects as directed by the Head of Operations
People Management Responsibilities:
• Responsible for performance and development of the team, working closely with senior technical experts to build capability
• Working with senior technical staff to spot potential, identify training/coaching needs, and develop and nurture staff to create an agile workforce
• Checking and authorising the team's timesheets
• Planning and controlling any change within the department
• People policies
PERSON SPECIFICATION - ALL ESSENTIAL
Qualifications / Education / Training:
• Relevant business or financial management qualification
• Strong background and work experience of operational management in a financial sector
Experience
• Proven track record in a service-based operation
• A background in operational and staff management
• Experience of operational change, including implementing new systems and processes & driving best practice
• Project management capability
Skills & Competencies:
• Initiative - ability to overcome obstacles
• Planning skills - ability to prioritise and manage conflicting deadlines
• Computer skills - proficient in excel, word and outlook
• Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
