The job
As Laboratory Technician, you will provide an on-site laboratory testing, quality control and quality assurance service for the company.
Using a range of bench tests and instrumental techniques, you will provide quality control on incoming materials to ensure compliance with both in-house specifications and EC/UK regulations. You will maintain all laboratory equipment to ensure its in good working order, carry out quality control on outgoing products, maintain all analysis records, help maintain the quality management system, archiving samples, making up accurate flavour doses plus be a member of the weekly taste panel.
Your experience
You will hold a level 3 (BTEC or similar) qualification in food industry and have good laboratory experience with knowledge of raw material testing. You will be competent in basic laboratory techniques, be fluent with MS Office software and further qualifications including HACCP and food safety are desirable.

The Laboratory Technician job is based in the South East region and is paying GBP26,300. The working hours will be a rotating shift pattern of 6am - 2pm / 2pm - 10pm.
This a maternity cover contract with a duration of approximately 1 year.
