This is a great opportunity for an experienced Purchasing Administrator to work in a meaningful interim role for a well established organisation based in Newton Abbot. This successful business provides sales and services to a growing and diverse customer base throughout the South West and beyond.
This role will suit a Purchasing Administrator who has previously worked in a buying team, purchasing goods and services from a large portfolio of suppliers.
Please note this is a fixed term contract for up to 12 months.

Duties will include:

• Purchasing goods and services in line with the business needs and sales orders
• Sourcing new suppliers and negotiating prices and supply timeframes.
• Managing existing supplier relationships to secure supply and cost effectiveness.
• Liaising with other departments to ensure effective stock control and demand planning.
• Identifying and reporting on cost saving opportunities and measures.

Skills and Experience required:

You will have experience of working in a busy, sometimes, pressurised buying role working with a range of high profile and new suppliers.
You will be a confident communicator who is comfortable negotiating with suppliers to ensure maximum cost savings and delivery dates met.
Initiative and a pro active approach are essential, along with a natural aptitude for planning, forecasting and trouble shooting.

Full time hours, Monday to Friday.
