Embedded Software Engineer - Electronic Controls for Automotive Industry
Basingstoke, Hampshire
Circa GBP45,000 per annum depending on experience

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our growing bespoke electronics company. We develop and manufacture electronic systems to meet our customers' precise needs, working across a wide range of sectors including Automotive, Aerospace, Military and Commercial.
We are constantly striving to improve our products and processes to ensure they reach the highest possible standards and are currently seeking an Electronic Engineer to enhance the team and assist us in achieving our goals.
The Electronics Engineer Role:
You will work as part of a team of 10 Engineers responsible for the design of electronic controls for the automotive industry. The work is extremely varied, covering anything from Ultrasonic Security Modules to full Body Control Systems.
Successful candidates will have the opportunity for full project involvement from conception to volume production at our on-site production facility.
About you:
Applications are invited from candidates with a good HND or Degree (in Electronics or Software) with demonstrable experience in at least two of the following:
+ Embedded C
+ Digital hardware design
+ Analogue circuit design
+ Automotive CAN and LIN Networks
+ PCB design (preferably using Altium)
In addition to your technical skills, you will need the following:
+ Understanding of component costs and commercial awareness around cost-effectiveness in using such components
+ Previous experience of working in a product manufacturing environment
+ Excellent written and presentation skills
+ Teamworking
You may have worked in the following capacities:
Embedded Software Engineer, Electronic Controls Engineer, PCB Design Engineer, Electronics Design Engineer, Electronics Engineer, Circuit Design Engineer, Analogue Digital Circuit Design Engineer.
