We are working with a well established and respected mixed farm as they look to expand their team by appointing a Trainee/Graduate Farm Manager. This position has arisen due to increased demand from the UK retailers for our client's products - top fruit, cereals, potatoes, hops and livestock. This job will sit in the fruit farming side of the business.

This job will involve managing the direct supply process of fruit to one of our client's major retail customers. This will include assisting with the management of seasonal staff (including accommodation and payroll), helping out in the top fruit packhouse, working the farm's cold stores and taking and meeting customer orders, invoicing and meeting customer demands. You'll also get involved in Farm Assurance, BRC and other audit requirements.

This is a varied role that will have you working across various functions within the business. You'll work with the Fruit/Farm Manager as required and develop an invaluable understanding of commercial fruit production.

Candidates will have a degree or equivalent in agriculture or horticulture. You will ideally have some hands/practical experience of working within the fresh produce industry, however this is not essential. Those with common sense and enthusiasm will go far in this business and enjoy a long and successful career.

In return for your commitment you will receive a competitive salary. Accommodation is also available if required.
