Salary range: £17,473 - £18,788 + benefits + overtime

Holidays:  Year 1 is 33 days, rising to 38 including bank holidays after 5 years

What are they looking for?

They have a number of opportunities for talented and enthusiastic Residential Support / Care Workers for their young adult’s homes.  These roles will work in their fantastic, state of the art 2 and 4 bedroom homes at their single site in Cheadle Hulme near Handforth, and will support their young adults (18-25 years old).  Experience working in a care setting supporting people with complex learning disabilities and communication, behavioural and sensory impairments is preferred but not essential.  Level 3 Health & Social Care qualification advantageous but not essential.

What are the roles?

These are full time and part time permanent roles and will involve providing daily care and support for our young people including personal care needs, mobility, daily routine support, communication, independent living skills, learning and leisure activities.  Some challenging behaviours may present, so similar experience is preferred but not essential.

What are the hours?

• Full flexibility over 7 days is required (37.5 hours per week)
• The roles operate on a rotating shift pattern
• The role will work every other weekend
• Part time hours can also be considered, and these roles will involve working every other weekend (22.5 hours per week minimum)

Our client is a national charity supporting children and young adults with complex learning disabilities and additional communication needs from across the UK.  They provide care and education, for children and young people aged between 3-25 years, in their homes, at their school and college and through their short breaks services.
