Our client is a specialist outsourcing organisation offering a diverse range of products and services to the insurance, healthcare and legal sectors.
Working within their Legal and Compliance Team and reporting to their Group Compliance Manager, the Compliance Officer will be responsible for managing and maintaining key governance controls in the Group by providing support to business units and support functions.
Supporting in the delivery of the Compliance work plan and in the work required for maintaining the Group’s ISO 27001:2013 certification, you will be responsible for managing the Group’s Incident Management framework and for assisting in the Group’s supplier management framework, with particular regard to the data privacy risk associated to suppliers. Facilitating and responding to customer due diligence and tender submissions, you will support the Group in managing its obligations under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and undertake process and systems based internal audits which will include reporting with any of the findings to Senior Management.
With excellent problem solving skills and an analytical mind, the successful candidate will be educated to Degree level or have the equivalent work experience. You’ll need to be computer literate with good working knowledge of Excel, Word and other Microsoft Office applications and be able to communicate effectively with key stakeholders.
This role requires a strong team player but who can also work well independently and take initiative. You’ll need to be confident and have an approachable manner and have experience of working with Senior Managers and Leaders. Excellent time management and organisational skills are a must, as is the ability to prioritise multiple tasks.
Experience of working in a Compliance role within a regulated environment would be advantageous, as would knowledge of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). Those who have experience of working with a broad range of systems and applications will also be of distinct advantage, as will those who are competent in data analysis.
