The main purpose of the role is to manage the recruitment function for the company, providing a professional service to staff and potential employees. This role requires some flexibility as you will be working in an ever changing environment.

Key responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

• Sourcing and selecting candidates, including; networking, identifying skills to match vacancies, providing advice to potential candidates
• Managing and developing recruitment channels, including; job boards, headhunting, LinkedIn and other social media sits where appropriate
• Providing training to line managers to assist in the recruitment process and advising on best practice
• Negotiating contracts alongside managers and liaising with HR regarding starter packs
• Providing cover when required in other areas of HR, at HR Directors request
• Filling vacancies in accordance with agreed deadlines and budgets
• Maintaining a low number of agency hires, using direct methods where possible to demonstrate cost saving

Skills & abilities for the role:

• Desirable but not essential - An understanding of the recruitment market, including advertising media, recruitment consultancies and direct recruitment
• Strong administration and time management skills
• Confident communicator with staff at all levels, both written and verbal
• Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines
• Flexible and adaptable
• Ability to prioritise workload, while dealing with various tasks at once
• Excellent organisation skills and strong attention to detail
• Excellent IT skills
