This internationally recognised global vehicle manufacturer, is now actively seeking a Specialist Technical Support professional to provide field technical support on their range of heavy agricultural products. Preferably you will have worked with commercial vehicles, have technical hands on knowledge, and ideally a recognised engineering qualification or equivalent experience.
Commutable from: Chelmsford, Southend on Sea, Romford, Basildon, Harlow, Dagenham, London, South East, Surrey, Essex, Kent
Salary: GBP 35,000 - GBP 38,000 p.a. plus company bonus, life assurance, contributory pension, car
Suitable for: Field Service Engineer, Technical Support Engineer, Technical Coordinator, Support Engineer, Test Engineer, Truck Engineer
The Role
Reporting to the Technical Support Manager, the role will be field based to the cover the South East of the country. The Specialist Technical Support role will involve supporting in the field where required to ensure minimum vehicle downtime, whilst supporting markets through advanced analysis and diagnostics to determine root causes, coaching dealers to become more autonomous in diagnosis, and to above all ensure technical information flows freely between the Technical Support Team.
The Person
Preferably, the successful Technical Support professional will have advanced knowledge of commercial vehicles, technical hands-on knowledge of diagnostic systems, and / or have exposure within the motor vehicle industry. A recognised engineering qualification would be preferred, as well as a demonstrable track record of working effectively within a team with high customer service skills. Please note the role will require HGV license C&E and preferably CPC.
