Part 2 Architectural Assistant
A fantastic opportunity has arisen for creative Part 2 Architectural Assistants to join an award-winning Architectural practice based in Minehead, Somerset. This practice has been established in the West Country for over 25 years and have developed a region-wide reputation for high quality architecture, with projects ranging from existing buildings and listed buildings to refurbishments and new builds, where they work predominantly on high-end residential properties and frequently with historic buildings.
We encourage applications from those who have gained industry experience or have recently completed their Part 2 qualification. The positions will offer the right candidates the opportunity to run their own projects whilst simultaneously advancing with their career development.
The ideal candidate must be creative, with a flair for design and with good technical skills. Experience of working on high-end residential properties and historic buildings would be an advantage, and candidates must have excellent written and verbal communication skills. We encourage training for all our staff and provide support to the staff who wish to progress with their architectural studies.
You will assist the Project Architects on larger schemes and develop a portfolio of smaller projects as a job runner with support from senior staff from concept design stage, through all stages of the RIBA Plan of Work. This is ideal experience for those progressing towards Part 3 qualification.
Any role offered will depend on the candidate's level of in-practice work experience, however some experience of working within the UK regulatory system (Planning and Building Regulations) is required. Experience of using Vectorworks, SketchUp and NBS Building software would be an advantage, however full training will be given as necessary.
A competitive salary and benefits package would be on offer to the successful applicant, which will be in line with RIBA guidelines and commensurate with experience.
