South Norfolk Council has an exciting opportunity for a Graduate or Trainee Surveyor to join the team based in Wisbech with occasional travel to Long Stratton. You will be there on a full time, permanent basis, and you will be offered a competitive salary of GBP19,121 - GBP25,463 per annum depending on experience.

The Graduate or Trainee Surveyor role:

Building Regulations not only set standards for the design and construction of buildings but also ensures the health and safety for people in or around those buildings.

Day release to college/university, dedicated mentor to help and support you.

Responsibilities of our Graduate or Trainee Surveyor:

- Assisting with site inspections and surveying duties

- Developing customer relationship management

- Providing technical and administrative support

- Undertaking plan checking duties

- Attending and assisting with the inspection of dangerous structures

The ideal Graduate or Trainee Surveyor will have the below skills and experience:

A recent graduate with a relevant surveying degree or 1-3 years relevant industry experience, and have a full UK (or equivalent) driving licence. You should also have good communication skills and an ability to manage conflicting priorities, as well as an awareness of basic Health and Safety legislation in the context of carrying out site inspections. You should also have a passion for construction, be ambitious to learn new skills and have a desire to being part of a building control partnership.
