Senior Quantity Surveyor

Working as a senior quantity surveyor, within the Developer Services major projects team, you will be leading a team of quantity surveyors responsible for a range of commercial services. From project work providing pre-contract budget estimates, through to procurement of work, post contract cost control and final accounts. You will be responsible for monthly cycle of cost reporting, valuations, change control to ensure accurate and timely reporting of commercial information to both project managers and the wider business.

The role of the Senior Quantity Surveyor will involve:

• Managing the full end to end process, you will be responsible for:
• Understanding of the statutory requirements within the water industry.
• The preparation of budget and detailed cost estimates for internal and external stakeholders.
• Preparing tender and contract documents, including bills of quantities.
• Cost control during the project life cycle including raising of purchase orders, the valuation of completed
• work by the supply chain, auditing costs and certification for payments.
• Manage project change control including supply change management.
• Accurate forecasting of spend to completion.
• Preparation of monthly cost reports for internal and external stakeholders.

Skills of the Senior Quantity Surveyor:

To be considered for this role you will be an exceptional leader with strong management experience. You will have water and waste experience and will have gained experience in a highly regulated environment with third party contractors. Previous demonstrable project experience is essential, and you will possess a Quantity Surveying Degree or equivalent technical knowledge gained through relevant experience. Accurate financial reporting experience is fundamental as well as being a team player with strong communication skills at all levels of an organisation.

A basic salary of GBP45,000 - GBP50,000 dependent on experience, contributory pension scheme, annual bonus, 23 days annual leave plus discounts at a wide range of retailers.
