Live in Female Carer

Live in carer is required for an intelligent, sociable and sometimes, challenging 78 year old lady with Vascular Dementia. She is in the advanced stages of her illness, but is still physically well and enjoys crosswords, jigsaw puzzles, music, gardening and baking. 

We are looking for a special someone who believes in a person centred approach in line with contented dementia principles. The following are essential. 

• Current driving licence and DBS
• Recent experience of working with dementia sufferers
• Sense of humour
• Reliability and honesty
• A caring nature
• Flexibility to meet the needs of the client.

Location -Falmouth
To assist/supervise/Carry out the following

• Meal preparation
• Dressing/ light personal care
• Housework/washing/ironing
• Take part in activities with the client i.e puzzles, baking, gardening
• Take the client out for shopping, visits, outings as required
• Companionship
• Liaise with family in matters pertaining to care
• Complete daily care log
• Petty cash handling in relation to household budget
