Product Inspector
Title: Product Inspector
Location: Gloucester
Duration: Permanent
Rate/Salary: Competitive
Hours: 39hrs per week 8 am to 4.30 pm Monday to Thursday and 8am to 3.30pm Friday, excluding public holidays.
Main Purpose:
To inspect all products produced by Suppliers to an SST Drawing and also inspect and compare to the recorded build standard the latest OEM products for production modification.
To pick stored components for production build ensuring the quality of goods provided to the shop floor is as per the build instruction.
Provide additional Quality Control support to the Quality Inspector.
Main Responsibilities - Duties
1Inspect all required Supplier items and collect KPI data & update stats and publish monthly
2Kit production work orders

Inspect OEM product for variance to fixed build standard
4Support Production Quality Inspector when required
5Document and records auditing/ archiving
6Ensure that all Environmental Health and Safety / Company Policies are adhered to at all times
7Continuous Improvement, You will have responsibility to make suggestions on Continuous Improvement within the business; expectations are around 4 a year
Education/Experience:
• Good communication skills.
• GCSEs or equivalent
• An understanding of the causes of static and its effect on circuitry, ESD
• Production/Assembly experience
• Understanding of quality standards and systems .
Key Competencies:
• Able to read and interpret basic technical drawings
• Able to use a range of measuring equipment
• Knowledge and experience of Microsoft Office Suite in particular Word, Excel, Outlook and the Internet
• Ability to work as part of a team or independently under minimum supervision.
