Digital Communications Designer

Reporting to the Senior Email Marketing Executive, the Digital Communications Designer will design and build emails for our automated CRM programs, ensuring that templates and content are developed to an exceptionally high standard. Using the latest email technology provided by our email platform, Movable Ink, you will design advanced and complex emails, utilising dynamic and real-time content to contribute to a complete overhaul of our existing automated communications. With access to advanced email features and an emphasis on personalisation, you will have the opportunity to be a part of an exciting development within the email team as we look to push the boundaries of our email communications.

In this exciting position, you will play a key role in the Customer Relationship Management (CRM) Team; you will work closely with the Senior Email Marketing Executive on the development of new email designs for our automated programs, providing expertise on creative design and UX of email communications. From agreed plans you will design email templates alongside email content, and build HTML emails via the Movable Ink tool, identifying and fixing any problems with the email build and demonstrating an approach of continuous improvement. Within the role you will also be responsible for creating dynamic rules and utilising features of Movable Ink to increase efficiencies within complex email builds. The email templates you create will maximise click through rates, be on brand, adopt industry leading techniques and follow best practice guidelines. Through your creative and technical expertise, you will influence key stakeholders in the creative direction during the design and approval stages of email communications, ensuring that all email content is produced to a high standard. Lastly, you will hold responsibility for the scheduling of emails through Jet2.com and Jet2holidays email service provider and manage any changes required to existing automated email communications.

The successful candidate will have strong design skills and a knowledge of email development, including producing responsive email designs, with a strong technical background and excellent HTML and CSS skills. You will need experience with Dreamweaver, Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign, be eager to learn and develop new skills and have a creative flair. You will also need to have a can-do attitude, strong attention to detail and the ability to use your initiative. The Email Team work in a fast-paced environment so you will need to be calm under pressure, have excellent communication skills and have the ability to deliver high quality work to tight timescales.
