Our client is looking for a local authority experienced Communications Officer.
Working with staff and councillors, you will be an important part of our communications team; duties include working with officers across our service teams to find stories, write press releases and sell them in to print and broadcast journalists to secure positive media coverage. Posting on our Twitter and Facebook pages to increase followers and engagement will also be a key part of the role.
We are seeking a proactive, motivated and experienced professional with a proven track record in internal and external communications and a background in print journalism. Political sensitivity is vital and experience of local government or the public sector would be an advantage.
