Highways Agent
Balfour Beatty has an exciting opportunity for an Agent to join the civil engineering function within our Regional South team working on a GBP110million highway scheme in Wokingham. The project is at pre-construction stage and consists of 9 separate highway schemes including greenfield roadworks, structures and significant number of road tie-ins.
You will provide management, leadership and control of a multi-disciplinary team comprising Sub Agents, Section Engineers and Site Engineers.
As an Agent, you will:
• Manage site staff operatives and sub-contractors
• Provide method statements, hazard risk assessments and project
management plans
• Plan upcoming costs and review permits
• Plan and programme the works (short term)
• Attend weekly progress meetings
• Foster good relations and reputation with clients
What we are looking for:
• Experience within highways projects including structures & utilities
works
• Highway experience with main contractor is a distinct advantage
• Minimum of HND (or equivalent) in Civil Engineering
• Temporary works experience
• Confidence in a client facing role
• CSCS Card, SMSTS certificate and willing to be or qualified in First Aid
