Day Rate - GBP210 per day

Contract Length - 12 months plus

An exciting position has risen for an Environment Advisor for a major infrastructure project in Birmingham. The primary aim of this exciting opportunity will be to support the area environmental assessment work (including associated assessments) developed for the project in accordance with organisational, sponsor and parliamentary requirements.

The successful Environment Advisor will likely be willing and competent in the following:

• Supporting the Area Team's environmental assessment requirements and deliverables. Ensuring all client requirements are met
• Provide advice to support the development of environmental design solutions and ensure that environmental sustainability issues are embedded as an integral part of the project design
• Work with other technical specialists including engineers and construction experts to achieve high quality integrated designs and develop appropriate and cost-balanced mitigation strategies and solutions

Essential Criteria:

• Experience of Environmental Assessment Impacts (EIAs) on large scale projects
• Knowledge of environmental legislation and best practice guidance
• Ability to work across multi-disciplinary teams
• A degree in a relevant environmental/built environmental discipline is preferable
