A highly successful Defence organisation, is looking for a current or former Royal Navy Petty Officer or Leading Hand to become a Technical Data Engineer in charge of the Technical Database for Combat Systems (NSIPS). This is an opportunity to join a highly regarded company and have opportunities to progress.
Skills & Experience required
* Naval background ideally at Leading Hand or Petty Office level, with good knowledge of Naval Combat Systems and NSIPS related databases.
* Able to capture and manipulate data including working knowledge of Graphical Design Packages eg Visio.
* Sound skills in MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint.
* Good communicator and team player, keen to progress within the Naval Systems Domain.
The role involves maintaining, updating and delivering a competent database for MOD customers, capturing requirements, configuration control, updating graphical content and some small-scale project management
The role can be based in Bristol or Frome.
GBP25,000 - GBP30,000 with high pension contributions and flexible core hours
