We have a fantastic opportunity to join a highly successful medium size build contractor based in Wiltshire.

Responsibilities of the Estimating Assistant:

To provide assistance to the Estimating Director in preparing tender costs for projects for settlement ensuring a competitive net tender.

To assist with the preparation of competitive Schedule of Rates, negotiated tenders, cost plans and traditional competitive tenders in line with contract documentation.

Work with the Estimator to deliver accurate prime cost submissions at the adjudication meeting.

Check and acknowledge tender documents and amendments.

Manage incoming drawings/documents to ensure accurate records for the internal and external tendering teams.

Management and control of all tender documentation, clarifications and addendum's with regard to the client, estimator, sub-contractor and tendering team.

Issuing all documentation to the relevant sub-contractors, answering any queries and collating prices once received.

Arrange site visits as required.

Co-ordinate submission documentation, including commercial, SHEQ, marketing and all other required material. Working closely with the Estimator and SHEQ team.

Prepare information packages for handover to construction team, if successful.

Conduct printing, photocopying and general administration duties as and when required.

Personal attributes of the Estimating Assistant:

Construction experience - ideally a minimum of 6 to 12 months.

Knowledge of tender process and document management.

Ability to understand tender documentation, prelims and submission requirements.

Ability to manage several tenders simultaneously.

Be highly organised, have a strong attention to detail and be comfortable working in a fast pace construction environment
